Anthropogenic noise is a significant concern for activities on or near the water, and the inclusion of an underwater noise monitoring plan or supporting data for Environmental Impact Statements is increasingly required for agency-issued permits of any project size. Since 2001, Delphis Technical Support and Solutions, LLC has executed a diverse range of hydroacoustic monitoring programs, including pile driving, dredging, marine construction, and explosion monitoring for agencies such as Washington State Ferries, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Our extensive field experience has fostered a deep understanding of varying ambient site conditions and enables us to collect and provide supplementary data—such as speed of sound in air and water, bottom characteristics, and other factors affecting underwater noise propagation—alongside precise positioning data critical for accurate acoustic modeling. We own, maintain, and collaborate with manufacturers to develop specialized equipment, including the recently designed Delphis-TSS Remote Telemetry Unit, an efficient dual-channel monitoring device capable of transmitting data remotely via radio or cellular modem. Additionally, our acoustic drifter offers an economical method for collecting geo-referenced noise data from various distances relative to the activity.

Delphis Technical Support and Solutions, LLC provides underwater videography using new, high definition video equipment to capture clear underwater images. We have a wide range of equipment available that includes a high-definition Seaview SDI camera system with the prototype annotator to tag the video data image with a georeferenced record. Large areas can be accurately mapped with the location of objects of interest observed on the video plotted in real-time or referenced later in post processing review. Our ROV capabilities provide agile and fast response for inspections or reconnaissance. Our capabilities are not limited to the length of a tethered system. Our autonomous camera system can attain depths of approximately 1750-meters and have provided ancillary video support for sediment profile imaging data efforts to approximately 300-meters.
Delphis Technical Support and Solutions, LLC. operates a variety of water quality testing instruments and sediment samplers. With experience in collecting environmental samples following EPA, DNR, DOE, and ADEC guidelines, DTSS can assist with in-situ sampling of standard water quality parameters or design a more detailed monitoring plan to track the dispersion of metrics over distance or time.

Delphis Technical Support and Solutions, LLC has developed and provided support for field operations and equipment requiring the deployment and recovery of autonomous data loggers. We have experience with multiple oceanographic platform types including bottom mounted and mooring mounted instrumentation.

Whether buoy mounted or land mounted, Delphis Technical Support and Solutions, LLC. is experienced with the deployment and maintenance of several different types of weather monitoring packages and telemetry.
